| A Company History with a Lot of Pop to It! Ten years ago, when the major transformation of Chicago’s Navy Pier unfolded, Popcorn Palace was one of the first retail stores to open their doors. With 27 gourmet flavors like Macadamia Butter Crunch and Chocolate Drizzle Caramel Corn it quickly became difficult to walk past this muncher’s paradise without your mouth watering. Praises of the delicious popcorn soon traveled beyond Navy Pier. The Chicago Tribune claimed the popcorn was “the most AWESOME snack we ever tried.” The Food Network was so impressed they featured Popcorn Palace on two separate shows. Recently Fortune Magazine jumped on the band wagon singing praises of Popcorn Palace. Why has word spread so quickly about how amazing this popcorn is? We’ll give you a few clues without giving away our secret formulas…our product is prepared by skillfully trained experts we call “Pop Artists”. They begin with our raw popcorn kernels that are hot-air popped full and fluffy. Then at precision controlled temperatures they are bathed in a variety of premium toppings like a handcrafted real butter-based caramel, or rich Oreo Cream filling or whole macadamias from the Hawaiian Islands. You can actually see the thick mix of whole nuts, cookie chunks or other gourmet-quality mixings. Each flavor is made fresh daily and packed just prior to shipping. The two brothers who started the company, Chris and Tim Heitmann, developed various ways of getting their popcorn all over the country without sacrificing the premium nature of the product. Their thoughtful and methodical expansion proved successful. Today, the company operations have expanded to a 25,000 sq. ft. production facility just outside Chicago where our addictive treats are created. In addition to its 30,000 plus customers, many celebrities have become regulars with Popcorn Palace.
